CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, Exempt REPORTS TO: Senior Vice President, Strategy and Marketing
SUMMARY The Health and Human Services Senior Strategist provides thought leadership on key policy and technical topics. The Senior Strategist will generate new business for the firm and is responsible for the sales pipeline within the health and human services content area. Senior Strategists at Public Sector Consultants provide strategic counsel and support on projects including scope design, client meetings, and review of client deliverables. As a Senior Strategist you will represent the firm at external events and mentor staff.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Possesses significant technical and public policy topic knowledge within policy subject areas and is adept at turning that knowledge into actionable strategic public policy on behalf of the firm and clients
Serves as a strategic advisor on projects, reviewing client deliverables and sales proposals, providing relevant information to offer potential solutions, and participating in key, often public-facing, client meetings
Develops and maintains a strong network of relationships, partnerships, and connections necessary for project and PSC success, leveraging those connections to develop work for the firm
Leads the development of sales opportunities by cultivating relationships with new clients within their content area focus and by maintaining strong relationships with existing clients in partnership with the client services team
Actively works to identify project opportunities and prospective clients that align with thefirm’s core focus and values, meeting with prospects and clients and working with client services team members to shape and review scopes of work and budgets
Serves as a representative of the firm at outside events, attending conferences, receptions, and other networking opportunities
Develops and maintains an understanding of work undertaken across the firm to communicate what PSC does from a broad lens to external audiences
Serves as a member of the sales development team, playing a key role in sales strategy and solution design, and collaborating to meet the firm's sales goals
Leads special projects and assignments across the firm at the direction of PSC’s leadership team
Delivers a minimum of 728 hours of client services annually

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and fifteen years of relevant work experience
Highly regarded within a well-developed professional network
Graduate degree in public policy, public administration, business administration, or advanced degree in relevant discipline preferred
Extensive experience working on public policy topics with diverse stakeholders in one or more of PSC's key public policy topic areas
Experience and comfort with working on highly visible or complex projects
COMPENSATION
Salary range: $131,710 - $197,565 commensurate with education and experience
