Summary
The proposal manager uses exceptional writing skills coupled with a strong understanding of PSC's services to create compelling proposals and pitches that showcase our firm’s expertise and win new business. The proposal manager must be a strong writer with a focus on attention to detail and excellent communication and organization skills. The proposal manager will lead and manage the development of written proposals through researching, drafting, and submitting compelling, crisply written proposals.

The proposal manager must be a strong writer with a focus on attention to detail and excellent communication and organization skills. The proposal manager will lead and manage the development of written proposals through researching, drafting, and submitting compelling, crisply written proposals.
Essential Duties
- Thoroughly vets each opportunity based on firm guidelines, value proposition, alignment, and proposal requirements
- Facilitates the proposal development process from intake to submission, including assignment of action items/deliverables, and ensures that all proposal deadlines (internal and external) are met
- Collaborates with subject matter experts, consultants, and leadership to pose questions and draw out essential messaging and win strategies
- Demonstrates a finely tuned ability to listen to business development strategy discussions and extract significant information and action items
- Works cross-functionally across team members to achieve creative, innovative material for use in proposals and sales opportunities
- Captures and synthesizes information to reflect a cohesive message, written in one voice.
- Maintains a library of proposal tools, resources, templates, past performance documents, and key firm qualifications for efficient future use
- Oversees the use of request for proposals portals/databases to identify opportunities for the firm and coordinates the timely review and decision making on whether to respond
- Supports capture management efforts, including research on prospective clients, partners, competitors, and market trends
- Supports the tracking of key performance measures related to win/loss rate and analyzes proposal data/opportunities to provide strategic recommendations for improvements
- Coordinates the use of PSC's client-relationship management tool, ensuring deals are properly documented and updated

Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent and five years of experience in a relevant field
- Association of Proposal Management Professionals certification a plus, but not required
- Experience with proposal writing, especially in response to formal solicitations
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to manage multiple priorities, often with competing and tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to successfully balance the interests of the customer with maintaining a good legal and fiscal position for the firm
Compensation
- Salary: $79,078–$118,617
